Scott Samuels has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel since 2017.

Mr. Samuels was Assistant General Counsel, and Acting General Counsel and Secretary, for ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from 2016 through its acquisition in 2017 by Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Mr. Samuels spent 17 years in private practice at law firm Mintz Levin, including nine years as a partner in the firm’s life sciences practice. There he specialized in securities law, corporate governance, and business development and corporate financing transactions. Mr. Samuels began his career as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia.

Mr. Samuels received his J.D. from George Mason University and his B.A. in philosophy from Cornell University.
